Our Mission

At CardGenr, we believe that every developer should have access to high-quality testing tools without barriers. Our mission is to simplify payment integration testing by providing free, instant, and reliable test credit card generation services.

How CardGenr works

Generated card numbers

Each number starts with a real prefix range for its network, is filled to that network's length with random digits, and ends in a check digit calculated with the Luhn algorithm. That makes it valid in format and nothing more: it is not linked to any account and will not pass a real authorisation. Generation runs in your browser, and nothing you generate is stored.

Gateway test cards

The gateway test card pages list only numbers that each gateway publishes in its own developer documentation. Every number is checked against the gateway's documentation page, each page links to that source, and each page shows the date it was last verified. When a gateway changes its list, the page is updated from the source, not from memory.

BIN data

The BIN database holds about 375,000 six-digit BIN ranges, with the card brand, type, level, issuing bank and country for each where known. Banks reassign ranges over time, so treat a lookup as a strong guide rather than a guarantee. Ranges with incomplete records can still be looked up, but are kept out of search indexes.

What CardGenr is not for

Nothing here can be used to make a purchase, and nothing here identifies a real cardholder. The tools exist for building and testing payment software. Using generated numbers to attempt a purchase or a free trial is fraud.
